A garden of ideasUn jardin d’idées

Every plant has a name. Every name has a story.

Chaque plante a un nom. Chaque nom a une histoire.

Flora began with a simple wonder: every plant we walk past has a name, and every name has a story. Most of us never learn either. Flora is the botanical chapter of Arritos — an independent studio in Paris building an ecosystem of apps that make everyday life a little more curious.

Four gestures, one garden

I

The Name

One photo is enough. Flora recognises the species — and shows how sure it is.

II

The Cure

Spots, yellowing, wilting: the likely cause, its severity, and the gesture that helps.

III

The Rhythm

Water, light, temperature, soil, season — a living care sheet for your plant.

IV

The Voice

Aristote tells each plant’s story aloud, with a voice generated on your phone.

Aristote

Aristote medallion

The father of botany was a student of Aristotle — Theophrastus, who described some five hundred plants. So it felt right that Aristote, the storyteller of the Arritos ecosystem, should be the one to tell you their stories. His voice is synthesised right on your phone, in four languages.

The garden on this page

The sculpture garden you walked through is an artistic interpretation of Flora’s four gestures, drawn in real time in your browser. The lens that names the flowers there is a demonstration: in the app, it is your camera that does it.

One ecosystem

Flora grows alongside Arritos Temple, the AI media organizer, Arritos Playlist, and the other modules presented on arritos.com.

I
